I don't know about you but I seem to have specific gear for nearly every activity and so a closet full o' crap. I often wondered whether the same kind of binding system could be used for both nordic and cycling. Well para-athlete Andre Palermo Szucs seems to be thinking down the same lines. Using a cycling shoe for nordic skiing. Yes I did check and we are not the 1st of April for another 3 weeks.

Andre gives the following detail:
- 3D printed 4mm OD bar for prolink bindings
- 3mm neoprene socks (from scuba diving) to keep things nice and warm - obviously cycling shoes are not the warmest footwear on the slopes
The weight in the picture below is for a shoe size US 8 with inner sole and neoprene sock. The heel is custom, but it could be adapted for the ordinary prolink back plate. Okay it may be a while before BOA enters the Nordic market but Andre says the motivation was needing specific adjustments on his prosthetic side. Necessity is the mother of invention, after all.
