I'd arranged to ride into work via St Agnes with my neighbour. But he overslept so I tackled the same route as 2 weeks ago, a small 600 meter climb. Very hard today because they'd gravelled the road, even cars were having trouble getting grip and slipping and a sliding around the place. These "gravel campaigns" the highways department do are madness - unless they are in league with gravel bike manufacturers to promote their wares? Anyway mercifully the gravel stopped at the col and the descent was nice and fast, and more importantly for a mountain road with 100 meter drops on one side, safe.
Pleasant temperature at 7h30, both climbing and descending. Lots of grave on the climb to St Agnes, 2 minutes slow avoiding all the gravel and slipping around the place.
