Description

Urban rollersking in Turin. Well not quite but in the city center Valentino park as the roads can be a bit variable (tramlines, cobbles, Italian drivers). The park is very cool though, a nice circuit with climbs and descent. If you do it clockwise, that is from the car-park ski past the Medieval Village you have a short, sharp climb followed by a descent where you have to be a bit careful as there is only a narrowish gap at the end and lots of runners on Sunday morning. This is followed by a nice climb up to the Monument of Amedeo of Savoia, then in front of the Castello del Valentino before a long, smooth descent with little risk to complete the loop.

I haven't tried the path by the River Po, I remember variable conditions and would have to explore it and it was a bit busy with runners.

Conditions

The tarmac is pretty hard at 8am - the nights are long and it obviously cools down a lot. You need to careful with your poles.
