Return to le Retord as tot wanted to do a bit of alpine skiing but didn't want to stay too long either. So the small loop and if I arrived at the short cut before 10h50 I would do the trail around the back of the ski area. Snow was a bit icy and slow to begin with but the passage of skiers had broken up the corduroy after a few km and it was much easier to skate. I arrived at les Solives (barn) after about 50 minutes and 6km of skiing. Which seemed quite slow but there is a lot of climbing. From here you can cut across to the return trail from Cuvery a bit before the Grange Lucien. You are now following the Grand Traverse de Jura to the south. The climb to the Croix des Terments didn't seem to bad today, it is a long, steep drag followed by a roller coaster descent back to the start. I just had to ski to the alpine area to meet tot for the ride home.
Sunny, not too cold. +1C. Pistes generally in good condition but only about 10-15cm of snow depth.
