Snow is back. I heard that le Bessat, around 65km from Lyon, was open but wasn't sure about the snow. In fact pistes were well prepared, especially on the main trail. However on the second loop I heard a "tack tack tack" like death watch beetle in my skis. I'd noticed they'd been a bit hard to ski and when I checked the ski had delaminiated in front of the binding. Not sure if this was due to water ingress or a previous crash but I took it easy on the return. Now checking the sales for new skis.
15cm of compact snow on the pistes. Generally in good condition but the return via the black was a bit rock n roll. Light drizzle first thing.
