Tomorrow (Thursday, January 29, 2026), a PIDA (Plan d'Intervention de Déclenchement des Avalanches - avalanche clearance work with explosives) will be carried out on the Lautaret road between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. The road will be closed. The areas concerned will be the south-facing slopes above Maison Blanche, Vallois, and Rif Blanc. Basically the avalanche couloirs on the Serre Chevalier side of the col.
