Thu, 30 December 2021

Technical

Minimum altitude: 1,281 meters

Distance: 12.3 km

Slope Aspect: North

Vertical Climbed: 338 meters (1,109 feet)

Vertical Descended: 338 meters

Description

Pottering around the Col de Porte seeing what the damage is like from the floods. Well things are open and the skiing wasn't too bad but you can't hoon around the place due to frequent blockages. It will need to get colder (Monday?) before they can repair the worst damage then some fresh snow to smooth things over.

Conditions

Good skiing conditions but the ski runs have been blitzed by the torrential rain and record high temperatures in places making skiing tricky. Landslide partially blocking the road below le Sappey and lots of problems on side roads.
