Description

The snow all melted during the week (in the Jura/Massif Central) so back to bike. It was very grim looking out of the window but I decided I'd do a short tour in the Monts d'Or but when I got closer I saw that everything just out of the river valley was in thick fog. Plan B, Miribel Jonage to check out of they'd put the pontoon bridge back in that lets you do a tour of the lake. I added the short Neyron climb but it was a real pea souper higher up and I was pleased to be in the relative clarity of the valley. The bridge was there, they were supposed to be replacing it with a permanent structure but no sign of works. Then back on the piste cyclable, very welcome in the poor viz. Just a little Z2 tour with a bit of Z4/5 on the Neyron climb.

Conditions

Not too cold but very foggy the second you climb a few meters. Bizarrely the fog cleared at 16h30. Damp on the ground.
