Minimum altitude: 976 meters
Distance: 11.7 km
Slope Aspect: South-West
Vertical Climbed: 407 meters (1,335 feet)
Vertical Descended: 407 meters
The cloud level has lowered a bit so le Sappey en Chartreuse was in the sun at midday. Time for a lunch skate up to Emeindras. With the refreeze the pistes are like concrete here and need care on the descent but great on the way up. Climbed in 39 minutes, some 3 minutes off my pb. The descent was a bit shakey though but largely due to my injured ankle.
Very hard snow on the descent as far as the Essarts hairpin (where the other ski piste branches off). Le Sappey was about the level of the clouds today, so all in sunshine, whoohoo!
