After going to the col de Marcieu in the morning - red not pisted, blue and green in thick freezing fog I looked for sun and decided to re-go-out to the Col de Porte which the webcam showed to be above the cloud line at 1200 meters. After doing some exercises in by the stadium the shadows came at around 15h so I decided to climb to the Bergeries. There is a lot of snow at the col and I don't think I've seen so much at the summit, the barns are half buried. The climb was hard work on a very hard piste, would have been ok skating. Also fairly hard work desending on hard snow. Nice to see the sun after a week under clouds.
Tracks were fairly icy in the afternoon, difficult to get grip.
