I wanted to skate home from work. Around 15km along the tow path which seemed to be the only valid route and then only possible with cross skates as 6km is on gravel tracks. I was fairly pleased as I was making around 4min/km on the tarmac, which is reasonably fast but things slowed down once I reached the end of the road. First of all a difficult km to link the tarmac with the good tow path with rocks, roots and bumps. The 3km of good skiing took a bit under 18 minutes, it is much slower. After a stop at the picturesque Bois Grammont (see photo) I was courageous enough to tackled the motorway bridge both up and down on snow plough for some of the down. Then a long drag back into Crolles on a less than false flat.
Very hot, 32 degrees. Not too bad on the towpath as is it in the shade.
