Description

Took the towpath south from Brignoud bridge (currently shut to vehicles) as far as the Batie bridge. The path is good on cross skates, much better than the continuation to the north. Approaching la Batie I cut through the woods, which was not so good - muddy with tree roots. On foot over the bridge as the road is extremely busy then skated through the industrial estate and on the new cycle path to lancey. Here the towpath is not great for the first 500 meters - very gravely but afterwards it is pretty good all the way to start of the road at Brignoud - here despite the tarmac, it is too even and potholed to be comfortable. Nearer 15km on cross skates (GPS bug)

Conditions

Very, very hot, not too bad where there was shade.
