Description

I tried the north towpath from Brignoud road bridge to see if it was ok on cross skating. It always seemed quite smooth mtb'ing but was not great on 150mm wheel cross skates - the smooth area between soft gravel was too narrow to ski properly. The path also only goes a few km before having to make a detour due to new flood defenses. My idea had been to cross under the autoroute towards Lumbin but that doesn't seem to practical so I doubled back and too the autoroute bridge. The descent was a bit scary as I'm not used to the speed on a open road (I did check no cars were around). Then I came back via the farm tracks to the piscine and back over the autoroute.

Conditions

Towpath is rough and with the antiflood works you can't go too far. Very hot, again!
