For the return to Lyon I thought I'd explore the city center on rollerskis a bit. After a loop of the park to warm up I headed through the tunnel Modes Doux than over the Saone. Following the cycletrack south on the right bank I reached the main shopping distract and took the pedestrian road to place Bellecourt then to Perrache and the Confluences where the Rhone and Saone rivers meet. There was about 100 meters of gravel to cross here for some reason then back up the Rhone to the start.
In general easy rollerskiing apart from the gravel. The bridges have expansion joints so you need to take care and the cycle path by the Rhone is a bit rough. A real bit of urbex on rollerskis.
Warm, a bit of wind from the North blowing down the Rhone. Lots of people after 9am
