Last year I was dissapointed to have climbed in 58 minutes. This year, almost the same time to the second and I'm quite pleased with a VAM of 784m. I even made it onto the Strava leader board for the whole tour. Brignoud is still a big building site and the first part of the climb to Laval was busy but reasonably in the shade at 5pm. Then the back road to la Boutiere was quiet as was the final to the col. I could probably go under the hour for the whole tour given I stopped for photos.
Sunny. 32C in the valley, 23C on the col felt positively chilly. Roads in generally good condition.
