Trying to find an easier climbing route, this time via St Cyr but there appears to be a better option taking the Collonges road to the first r'about. Big error on the St Didier link road as I tried to climb straight up the valley which is > 10% and I don't have gears for that. Next time I'll ride into St Didier, second left is then to the Verdun climb. Could be a good lunch ride to St Did, about 1 hour and 20k.
Warmer but only -10C at the summit and a cold westerly wind blowing. Alps very clear including le Mont Blanc.
