First time out in shorts this season. Rode up to the Fourviere where there was a clear view of Lyon and pre-alps and even snowy alps just beyond. Then over to a road I'd seen on the map up to Caluire et Cuire which was less steep than some of the other climbs. Ride along the top to the Croix Rousse then back to the office. Very pleasant in the sun, slightly cold but ok in shorts and a thermal top. Spring is here. Had a look at remains of the Roman Aquaduct at Fourviere, part of which is incorporated into a house. This acquaduct starts above St Etienne and is one of the longest aquaducts in Europe. A real feat of engineering.
Sunny, cold wind from north but shorts weather. Still a lot of water from the storms.
