A variation on the route today. Decided to try and skate the Chronovélo from Meylan to Grenoble city hall. The Chronovélo are high speed cycle routes where bikes generally have priority over cars. Even better on rollerskis where you don't like slowing down. The cycle path is wide and not many cyclists were on it. The route is 4km long and generally there are no lips or curbs when crossing other roads - all is nice and smooth. There is a small descent under the main road with a couple of gratings at point but nothing too difficult. From the city hall / stadium I just had to follow the river back to the car for a 30km round trip.
Regarding PBs
PR on Berges de l'Isere vers sud (10:00)
PR on Bois de France sud (7:52)
PR on Berges Pont La Batie → Meylan (18:56)
Absolutely no wind. I was skiing around 3m/km. So these are good times and hope to be on track for under 3m/km over the summer. Due to the heat I took it a bit easier on the way back.
Very hot, >30C but a bit of shade on the riverside
