A little afternoon tour at St Hilaire seemed reasonable before the next storm. All the runs are open now but the resort had only pisted one side which seemed like a good idea for the free-riders. We didn't ski too much but checked out the Canyon and what remains of the fantom village now the houses have been cleared - bit open powder fields.
Around 30cm of heavy powder off piste, on top of recent snowfall. Not easy to turn or advance when the slope was shallow. Better conditions above 1500 meters, apparently but much higher risk of avalanches.
