On Tuesday Guillaume Deschanel got some early turns in at Olympic Chamrousse in the French Alps near Grenoble. The conditions don't look too bad, for a 7th November. Still we had more snow at the same time last year and that melted by the end of the month to leave a December/January dry and one of the worst winters on record. Predictions are for rain at the start of the weekend turning to snow later, perhaps even down to valley levels.
