A group of climbers were lucky to grab this footage of an avalanche on the north face of Z1 in Zanskar at the start of September.
The beautiful Zanskar valley is located at 4,000 meters above the sea level in the Indian Himalayas. Climber Maavra Taylor, who uploaded the footage, said it was their first full day at base camp before attempting Z1 peak when a series of small to large avalanches started which lasted all afternoon and into the night. The air was full of dust for hours and the noise was incredible.
