There had been considerable snow on Saturday, enough to ski in the valley. I saw les 7 Laux had opened its cross country ski area with all pistes open and on free access. I decided to head up for 9am to ski for an hour. Quite hard getting back into skating on snow at first and the climbs were quite physical. The best run was the long pre de l'arc with its decent and climb as it has a fairly even gradient. All in all a good start. Car park completely rammed when I left as was the resort despite being closed.
45cm of fresh snow. All the trails were pisted and in good condition although the snow was a bit soft on the climbs.
