There were 34 exhibitors each paying 1100 € for a small tent covering 25 m² of dirt at 3200 meters. There was a good mix from the big boys: Rossi, Head, Volkl and Salomon to smaller players such as Black Diamond (with the cute Julia - see video), Liberty, Black Crows, Zag and Faction. For the micromarques the cost of a stand is a quarter of the price of an advert in the ski press and lets them get some valuable feedback from potential customers.

You could also check out goggles from Bolle and Roxy and helmets from Quiksilver. Hot’z also had prototypes of its glasses on goggles which will go onsale mid-January. The ski lifts saw around 12,000 skiers pass through over the 3 days. It was busy on Saturday but relatively quiet on Sunday and Monday. It is true that the glacier was not in great shape lower down, by the early afternoon it looked more like a volcano spouting rivers of slush from a number of wounds. If you love the mountains you can’t but help having a guiltyconscience. The pisteurs had done a great job of repairing the damage but one wonders how long we can go on skiing in increasingly dry and warm autumns?
