An officer of the Pghm was killed while training above the ref de Argentiere by a rockfall. What a tragic accident to someone who’s life was dedicated to rescuing others.

I believe another PGHM officer was killed by a crevasse fall in the Vallee Blanche in March when we were in Chamonix.

Old goat
I was also in Chamonix then, I didn’t hear too much about what happened but I did see all the PGHM guys assembling in their dress uniforms for the funeral, with the flag at half mast, very very sad.

A ceremony will be held at 17:30 today at the Place du Triangle de l’Amitie to pay tribute to Olivier Deprez - member of the PGHM who died in a training exercise on Wednesday afternoon

Its really sad to know . May God rest his soul in peace.
I salute the men who work for the humanity and sacrifice their selves for the humanity.
