Volkl Snow Wolf

The Snow Wolf is basically the big brother of the Völkl Norbert Joos. It takes the Volkl's skin-clip system. The ski is also light, 2530g en 170cm for a pair. However it seems to also suffer from the Norbert Joos' fragility. Local riders and shops have reported breakages. Hopefully Völkl will address these issues in the 2006 model.

The ski is great in powder and mixed snow conditions but the carving shape means some loss of grip in icy conditions, this shows itself when climbing on traverses where the skier has to resort to ski crampons.
