At 2700 grammes in 178cm this strange looking wood cored ski probably offers the best compromise between performance and weight for intermediate to advanced backcountry skiers. The ski has a double spatula and a swallowtail. The ski is relatively straight and appeals most to a more traditional skier who is perhaps less at home with parabolic skis. The ski performs well in all conditions and responds well to good skiers. The Duo Sintesi is relatively stiff but a bit lacking in torsional rigidity for steep icy slopes. The ski is available in a wide range of sizes.
