My mum did a summersault on a pine cone outside the front door when she came to visit and now has one of those babies fitted thanks to Grenoble Hospital. It goes with her bionic knee. She doesn’t ski though - although maybe she should?

I have a resurfacing if that’s what you meansmile

I had the op in October 2008 when I realised could no longer ski and the physio wasn’t helping anymore. No skiing last season on the advice of my surgeon, just lots of physio to rebuild stability. I am heading out to Engelberg next week though. That will be the first time I’ve skied on the new hip so wish me luck…

Well, I had a great few days in Engelberg and the new hip was fantastic. Now to get back in to touring, climbing, hiking etc!

Engelberg is a great place by the way, busy though. Not the secret stash I was hoping for:(
