Ski-Areas > Northern Alps > Savoie (73) > Maurienne > Valloire > Pointe des Cerces North Face
Start from Bonnenuit (or plan Lachat later in the season). Traverse to the lac des Cerces (2410 meters) then turn to a breach in cliffs where there are a couple of small couloirs (section at 45 degrees). Afterwards climb a large slope which has sections at 40 degrees to reach the summit by gentle slopes at the end. There is a visitor's book in a tin box at the summit.
The couloirs are best climbed on foot, with crampons if the snow is hard. The right couloir is larger and easier to ski for the descent.

We set out late at 8 am, which was accepteble with the west orientation. We crossed a CAF group and some snowboarders with the same objective. The panorama at the summit was fantastic and gave some ideas for future objectives.
