From the Privilège chair we'd earlier spied a large valley that is hidden from the ski piste. The snow looked great and there wasn't a single track. The regular Peyragudes skiers tend to stick to the pistes and this would involve a 10-15 minute climb. From the Col we climbed directly up the ridge, just out of site of the base of the Flamme chair. This was to take advantage of the bare rock and grass that presented itself.
David on the Crête de Serias
At the summit we put our skis on and slid down to a saddle. On one side the bare mountain looked down to les Agudes. I gingerly skied up to the cornice and looked over.

The other side was a 25 degree slope covered in light powder which

levelled out into a valley, the conditions turning more spring like. At the bottom we rejoined the Pla de 'Hourgate piste.
