The final part of the study looks at what happens after the avalanche has stopped moving, it is rich in lessons of the sort that show clearly that any delay in the search of a victim buried rapidly decreases the chance of survival. Contrast this with an immediate intervention which, even when aided by luck which can be crowned with success.
