Description

There are over 40 hairpins on the 450 meter/8% climb to Monte Rosso. This has the advantage that the climb is never too steep. The road on the last km to the restaurant is not in great condition. For fans of switchback roads. I descended via a trail to Cavandone, it is just rideable on a road bike, would be fine on a gravel bike or mtb. A concrete road starts some way above Cavandone.

Combined with a climb to Montorfano.

Conditions

Warm, high cloud. Road potholled near summit, take care on the descent.
