50km loop linking the lakes Orta and Maggiore via the summit of the Mottarone mountain. The Orta lake road is u quite busy as is the road from Lake Maggiore to Gravellone Toce.
Be careful with the map/gps, took a wrong turn and cycled through a road tunnel. You need to carry on towards Gravellona Toce and take a left onto a backroad where the main road turns right just before town
Very cold, drizzle in the valley, sleet at the summit, didn't bother with the loop round the top of the mountain due to cloud and snow !
