The Bellevaux valley is situated to the south-east of the massif above the village of Ecole en Bauges. The simplest access is from junction 23 of the Chambéry - Albertville autoroute A430. Cross Saint Pierre d'Albigny for the 950 meter col de Frene continue north along the D911. At Ecole take the D60 towards Jarsy then Carlet. The road is normally cleared to 800 meters altitude in winter.
