Aiguille Grive North Couloir

Ski-Areas > Northern Alps > Savoie (73) > Tarentaise > Peisey-Vallandry > Aiguille Grive North Couloir

The summit of the Aiguille Grive is marked by a dilipidated orientation table. The funnel into the couloir is just to the north. The entrance can be marked by ice and rocks but these can be avoided by following the ridge on the left bank then entering the couloir when the snow is better. There are a number of sub-couloirs to the left of the summit but these are all dead ends finishing in cliff bands. The couloir exits into a large bowl. The couloir is avalanche prone.
