The ski resort of Abriès - Ristolas is situated in the Queyras area of the Hautes-Alpes department in the Southern Alps region. It is part of the Tout Queyras ski domain. The lift served area extends from 1500 metres to 2400 metres. There are 33 km of lift served runs. There are 76 km of cross country trails.

The summit of the pistes is 2450 meters but you can easily climb higher and follow the ridge to the tête de Pelvas. You can then ski the north face and return using a shuttle bus service in the Valpreveyre valley. Alternatively the south face offers a return directly to the ski station or to Ristolas below. These slopes can present a real avalanche danger and skiers should consult the piste security or use the services of a guide. There are many other possibilities around the Besseys pistes that links the Colette de Gilly with Valpreveyre.
