Description

We skied the Aigleton then reskinned to the lakes of Venetier. Snow was doubtful (avalanche risk) under the cliffs of Le Pin and at the top of the Aigleton pass and a lot of N->S wind transport at altitude. Couloir du Pin half skied... apparently too much effort for the traceurs.

"fantastic weather as we exited the forest with our traceur from the other side of the pond (ken), never tired and to make tracks in the Aigleton, that doesn't happen very often. Not many people in Venetier valley and making a track on the right bank let us descend the left bank in virgin powder, something that is rare. Fantastic day in good company" - Anny

Conditions

On the south facing slopes -> south-east heavy powder in the process of transformation. Powder in the woods but lots of traces. Snow melting below 1200m.
