Apart from covering the 2nd Rendez-vous des Etoiles we also managed to get some skiing in around the Grenoble area in the Alps.
With over 50cm of fresh powder falling overnight on Sunday conditions were ideal. If only we could make it up to resort. In the end we managed a couple of ski tours, the Croix de Chamrousse in the Belledonne mountains and the classic Chamchaude in the Chartreuse which our friend Marc has described as the most beautiful spot in the world. Considering Marc has climbed mountains from McKinley to Mt Kenya and recently skied a 7,500 meter peak in China he should probably know. We also found time for a bit of piste skiing on Christmas day at the micro-station of Le Sappey
