Scarpa say the new boots have undergone 18 months testing and claim that the new boots retain stiffness over a slightly wider temperature range compared to existing Pebax. Dynafit have already used Rislan, a Castor oil product to add stiffeners to their boots but Scarpa appears to be the first boot made entirely of this natural product.

Scarpa will save the world with its new marketing blended with good-old, long lasting hypocrisy!
Instead of that monkey-business, why don’t they price their product a bit more sensibly and make sure folks who who sew liners and work on the injection press make a decent living!

Scarpa AFAICT are not the first onto the market with a boot made with this material. Atomic have the alpine boot the Renu on sale already.
