Beacon training in the French Alps

The French National Association for the Study of Snow and Avalanches (http://www.Anena.org) is organizing avalanche beacon training sessions this winter in the Haute-Savoie, Savoie, Isère and Hautes-Alpes. Participants will be able to learn (or relearn) single and multivictim searches using both the latest digital and analogue avalanche transceivers.

The sessions will also cover effective shovelling techniques. Practical exercises will give the chance to witness the organisation of search and rescue.

The following dates are scheduled

Le col du Lautaret, Saturday 7th February
Bessans, Monday 9th February
La Clusaz, Saturday 14th February
L’Alpe d’Huez, Monday 23rd February
Chamrousse, Saturday 28th February
