It’s that time of year again and this year the dude has nearly three full weeks off. Time to get out of Dodge for at least one of them (16-23). But where to go?
The wife and little guy have pretty much resigned themselves to the idea that the pistes--or at least pistes suitable for a six year-old--might be done for the year. I’m a little less reluctant to give up the boards and would love to spend a week of solo (or not) morning tours and afternoons of family hikes, bike rides, fishing, and food & wine.
We’ve spent a lot of time in Gressoney/Monterosa but I’m worried the southern exposures and Italian heat are beating up on the snow. Where else should we consider? The Dolomites? Maybe Ecrins or the Haute-Maurienne? Further afield? Utah?
Any and all ideas/tips/suggestions are welcome including recommends for specific apartments or anything else that pops in your mind.
Cheers people, and don’t give up the ship. Keep skiing!
