At last, the Swiss will be able to ski on Dynafit style bindings grin

This is a departure from the frame type binding Fritschi has been making todate. The disadvantage of frame bindings is that you have to lift both frame and heel with each step. Dynafit have made much of this in the past claiming that a 1000 meter skin it is like lifting a tonne weight 1 meter. Without the frame the skier is also closer to the snow. The Zenith 12 weighs in under 1kg, just, but you do get an integrated ski brake for that. DIN is 12 and they claim toe release and more predictable binding release even where the ski is flexed. It is probably solving problems that most tech binding users don’t have but will probably appeal to a certain class of user - ex Diamir binding users for example.
