August snow in Tignes

Anyone up on the glaciers will be happy, it is snowing today above 2200 meters as this picture from the Tignes webcam shows.

Okay it is just a smattering but a reminder that winter is on the way.

According to the Police, who took part in a dramatic rescue operation yesterday in the Belledonne, there was 30cm of snow at altitude.
