Hey y’all!

Just heard les 2 alpes have spent a shedload on upgrades for this winter - big investment at les 2 alpes ski area - looks like it’ll be a pretty sweet season.

Anyone thinking of going?!  cool smirk

Hi

I live in les deux alpes and have been for eight years now. its great news that money is now being spent on the resort and the future looks bright for L2A. If you need any particular local info, if you are thinking of going just give us a shout. I am a ski and snowboard instructor, I also guide at la grave. also if you would like an early start for the season L2A glacier is open for a free ski test on the 23-24th october and will stay open until the 1st november.

Hey piste2powder,

THe glacier skiing from 23 October sounds sweet!

I’m looking at doing a season this year so am weighing up the options on different resorts - from what I’ve seen Les 2 Alpes looks really decent…

I don’t suppose you know what the job situation is normally like?

How is the apres ski?

I’ve heard the off piste is quite good in parts?

Cheers!

Hey boomtimeboarder

L2A is great for a season, once you have your season pass, you can ski L2A as well as alpe d’huez and serre chevalier, so plenty of terrain to play in. also L2A has one of the best snow records in europe with guarented snow, and we are linked with La Grave. on the side of the job front, it very much depends on what you want to do, if you get there early in the season (end of november) there are plenty of bar jobs, but I would recommend applying in advance as there is lots of competition. tour operators are still taking people on as people either leave very early or don’t turn up and it is easier for them to employ someone who is already in resort. if you tell me what you would like to do I could give you some contacts and possibilities.

I also guide at la grave.

What year did you qualify as a Mountain Guide?

I’m not a Guide and would always book a professional from the local Guides Bureau. Are you listed with them?

Hi Bandit

I’m not a mountain guide, i’m a national ski teacher (bees alpine premier degree) and I work as a ski and snowboard instructor out of l2A, so the only thing that I can not do is take people on the glacier of La Grave, but we do take groups of skiers and snowboarders over to La Grave on a weekly basis in the season.

Hey piste2powder,

Thanks for the great information - the season pass sounds really good.

Are you based out in France or in the UK?

Cheers,
