Great skis the Powders, not too much side cut. Are these the ones you skied Ben Nevis (tower gulley?) with (I’ve not got the video in front of me), more to the point are these the ones you skied down to Orelle on?

No & No… grin

TG on a borrowed pair of (short) Scream Limiteds - so soft I Insta-teled on both bindings dropping off the cornice…
Orelle was on a pair of sacrificial Lords!!

re Sidecut, I’m not a huge fan of big sidecut skis anyway - particularly off piste in trickier conditions I find it makes skis very twitchy/grabby & unpredictable.

Zoiks, it was very very steep at that point, not a great start.

Looking at snow conditions you may be able to repeat it again this July.

I did the Col de Pertuis in the Belledonne last July, we’ll be lucky to make it to the end of May this year. The Pertuis was a stupid idea though as it was essentially a meter of soft snow covering a raging torrent.

TG skiable most years well into June if not later - some friends of mine have skied it on an almost yearly basis (unless work prevents), usually late May early June, for the last 10/11 years in a row…
