I wonder what happened to the skier seen breifly at about 19s in to the clip.

I’m sure any article about risk homeostatis (I had to look it up, but it’s the “spike in the centre of the steering wheel” argument isn’t it?) will generate a fair amount of traffic The more I think about the more I think I want an ABS type bag (actually SnowPulse would be the one I’d go for I think). I don’t *think* this make me more reckless, but then again, if I am going to ski the same terrain with or without it, does that mean I am being reckless by not buying one right now? Oh dear, I’m preempting your article… sorry, I’ll stop now and get back to my glass of wine.

It is a bit of a safety arms race, the most dangerous thing would be to ski with ABS users when you don’t have one yourself. Like the old saw of always giving your top of the range avy beacon to your mate while you keep your F1.
