Description

From the center of Grenoble this climb is a hard 1000 meters + of vertical. According to the ClimbByBike website it is in the top 500 of alpine climbs for difficulty. Averaging 7% but with the last 3km over 10% with a few "walls" en-route.

The Fort St Enyard is one of the 7 fortresses that were built to protect the town of Grenoble. Work was started in 1875 and took four years. Today the fort is occupied by a restaurant that is open from May to November.
