Technical

Minimum altitude: 1,286 meters

Distance: 9.4 km

Slope Aspect: North

Vertical Climbed: 212 meters (696 feet)

Vertical Descended: 208 meters

Description

I wanted to check out what the weekend's record temperatures had done to the slopes. Quite a lot of snow had gone from the upper red piste, it was skiable last Friday but now was just bare earth. It will need a good 50cm of fresh snow to be passable again. As for the rest, not bad and at midday still cold enough to ski thanks to a good overnight refreeze. Doesn't look like much else will be ski-able this year in the Chatreuse.

Conditions

Generally skiable. The upper red loop was partially closed as were the slopes behind the ski de fond foyer. A few stones here and there but the piste services had done a good job at keeping things open, the base will be useful with the fresh snow this week.
