A ski tourer has been killed by a slab avalanche on the glacier d'Argentière. The incident occured on a SE slope at 2500 meters altitude at around 17h30. The victim was accompanied by her husband who was on a snowboard and a high mountain guide. The group had just descended from the Col du Tour Noir. The avalanche risk was 3 above 2000 meters with the principle dangers wind blown snow and a persistent weak layer. The bulletin warned of a weak layer at the interface of the old and new snow, particuarly on North to East slope aspects but with a lot of spacial variability.
