First time around the nordic trails this year. Snow is soft - there is a lot of new snow that hasn't compacted yet but slides quite well. Some debris on the pistes. Le Sappey seemed to be unskiable - below the snow line.
On Chamechaude itself (with randonnee skis) snow is heavy powder, sticky both climbing and descending. Not great to ski.
