Very cold with a biting wind from the north. I parked right next to the Nordic ski tracks. Snow was a bit soft, needs to compact a bit more; sometimes the pole would sink in to ground level. About 20cm of snow on the pistes, 40cm elsewhere. Hard going, especially rediscovering balance etc. I took the blue loop which still has some steep little down hills and a lot of adverse camber around the return above Pillonnieres. It needs more snow! A quad bike had driven up the return ski run.
Weather: Cold, sunny, cloud and light snow at the end.
